> National Directory Institute
The National Directory Institute is designed to help anyone who holds the responsibility of forming men as deacons. NDI is for directors who:

“In all but a handful of dioceses in this country, the Diocesan Bishop has established a staff to form men into deacons and to guide them in their ministry. We know from our experience that deacons bring valuable charisms to our local church, and we all are grateful to the men who have chosen this vocation. We also know that implementing the Directory can be a challenge.
Most Rev. Robert J. Carlson
To help bishops implement the Directory, the National Association of Diaconate Directors (NADD), in consultation with the Committee on Clergy, Consecrated Life and Vocations, provides training for new diaconate directors.
The Institute is open to all directors, regardless of their experience or time in service as a director. We firmly believe that, in such important matters as formation and ministry, there is always something new and valuable to be learned. We encourage you to consider sending one or more members of your staff to the Institute to benefit the people of God in your diocese.”
Fraternally yours in Christ,
