The NADD National Directory Institute (NDI) helps diaconate directors and formation staff understand and integrate the spirit and norms of the National Directory for the Formation, Ministry and Life of Permanent Deacons in the United States into their diocesan formation programs.
Forming ordinary men called by the Lord to extraordinary service as deacons is a challenge made easier by the National Directory Institute. NDI is the comprehensive training program developed and offered by NADD to help deacon formation directors and staff members better understand and effectively implement the normative elements of the National Directory while offering assurance to ordinaries that formation in their dioceses is correct and effective.
NDI is offered in consultation with the USCCB Committee on Clergy, Consecrated Life and Vocations. It is oriented to the practical needs of diaconate formation staff – experienced or new – as they help candidates discern vocations and guide them into ministry.
NDI is conducted on the campus of the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio.
Participants will enjoy stimulating, practical information presented in a retreat-like setting.
